CHOCOLATE ON CHOCOLATE CAKE TRUFFLES

INGREDIENTS:

18 oz boxed chocolate cake mix and required ingredients (eggs, milk, etc.)
16 oz container of premade store-bought chocolate frosting
3 oz bar of high-quality dark baking chocolate
1/2 cup mini dark chocolate chips

Assembly:
Prepare chocolate cake mix according to the directions on the box. You can use any pan size for this recipe.
Crumble cake while is still warm into a large mixing bowl, then let it come to room temperature.
Stir in frosting to blend cake filling well.
Add mini dark chocolate chips a handful at a time and work them in throughout the mixture evenly. Don't add so many that the mixture won't hold together anymore.
Roll cake filling into 1-inch balls by hand and place on a lined baking sheet.
Let chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Chop baking chocolate finely and place in a large microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time, stirring every time until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat this chocolate.
Dip cake balls one at a time using two forks, and be careful to remove the excess chocolate.
Return to the lined baking sheet and place in the freezer for an additional 30 minutes.
Serve.
